Sunbusters Inc. Limited Warranty

This limited warranty applies to custom-made blinds, shades, and related window covering products supplied and installed by Sunbusters Inc. for the original purchaser at the original installation address. The warranty is intended to provide clear coverage for defects in materials, workmanship, and normal operation, subject to the terms and exclusions below.

• Product components and operating mechanisms: Covered for 5 years from the date of installation.
• Installation labour: Covered for 1 year from the date of installation.
• Motorized components: Covered 2 years from the date of installation, excluding customer programming issues.

• Defects in materials or workmanship that affect the function of the blinds under normal residential use.
• Failure of internal operating mechanisms cord locks, chain controls, brackets, clips, or similar components, when used as intended.
• Installation issues caused by improper installation performed by Sunbusters Inc. provided the issue is reported within the installation labour warranty period.
• Replacement parts or repairs required to restore the product to proper working condition, at the discretion of Sunbusters Inc.

• Normal wear and tear, cosmetic changes, minor scratches, dents, or changes resulting from regular use.
• Fading, discoloration, fraying, warping, shrinking, stretching, or natural colour variation caused by sunlight, heat, moisture, humidity, condensation, salt air, or other environmental exposure. Older windows without LOW-E coating may cause faster color fading and fabric degradation.
• Damage caused by misuse, abuse, accidents, improper cleaning, improper operation, pets, children, insects, alterations, or repairs performed by anyone other than Sunbusters Inc. or an authorized representative.
• Damage resulting from customer-supplied measurements, customer installation, structural issues, unsuitable mounting surfaces, or changes to the window, wall, frame, or surrounding area after installation.
• Batteries, remote controls, smart-home integrations, customer programming, Wi-Fi connectivity, or third-party automation systems unless specifically included in writing.
• Removal, reinstallation, repainting, refinishing, drywall repair, trim repair, or other incidental costs unless expressly approved in writing by Sunbusters Inc.

• Operate and maintain the blinds according to the care and use instructions provided.
• Report missing parts, visible damage, sizing concerns, or installation concerns within 30 days of installation.
• Keep the original invoice, receipt, or proof of purchase.
• Provide photos, videos, measurements, or access to the home as reasonably required to assess a warranty claim.
• Avoid exposing products to excessive moisture, humidity, heat, force, or conditions outside normal indoor residential use.

1. Contact Sunbusters Inc. at info@sunbusters.ca with your name, address, installation date, invoice number, and a description of the issue.
2. Provide clear photos or videos showing the product and the issue, if requested.
3. Sunbusters Inc. will review the claim and determine whether the issue is covered under this warranty.
4. If the claim is approved, Sunbusters Inc. may repair the product, provide replacement parts, replace the product with the same or similar product, or offer another reasonable remedy at its discretion.
5. If the product, colour, material, part, or operating system is discontinued Sunbusters Inc. may provide the closest available substitute. Exact colour, texture, pattern, or component matches are not guaranteed.
6. Once our resolution is approved by the client, the client is responsible for delivering the product to our warehouse for the warranty replacement/work. Pick up and delivery is available for an additional charge, please contact Sunbusters Inc. for more info.

This warranty is transferable for 3 years from the date of purchase and applies only to the original installation location.

This limited warranty gives the customer specific warranty rights. The customer may also have additional rights under applicable federal, provincial, or territorial consumer protection laws. Nothing in this warranty is intended to exclude or limit rights that cannot be excluded or limited by law.
